I actually hated dancing for the longest time, but then my husband and I took lessons and I fell in love with it. It is intimate, in that way that a lot of things can't be. Not sexual but just sharing space... I am not making sense. Either way, it's one of those things I love characters doing.

yes, you totally make sense. The thrill of dancing close with someone is that a lot of things can't happen (immediately) but they are in the air, so to speak. When it is good, then it feels like a cocoon arround you and your partner. Also, sometimes it's just nice to feel someone close like some kind a warm hug. :)
