I knew it would be Sayid who busted Michael from the promo, but yes, he was damn awesome in how he handled Mike face-to-face.

So happy the foursome is now a threesome. Works better that way, even if it does make Kate the focus of attention. And it restores my faith in Sawyer's intelligence that he recognizes that Jack is the closest thing he has to a friend.

Boy, that sure was an awkward funeral, wasn't it? Even Shannon's had more poignancy.

The Others: More confirmation Alex is actually good. Still no sight of the Big Scary Kahuna Other. They have access to modern stuff - syringes and plastic bags. Significant without actually being interesting.

I bet they have a whole s00perhitech complex down in their hatch with "LAA-sers" and everything.

I've been missing Sayid lately, so I was excited to see him playing an important role this episode. I also loved that moment between him and Sawyer when Sawyer gave him the gun - you can see the respect he really has for Sayid.

And the funeral was indeed awkward, but Hurley made me cry. :-(

And I although I love Angel a lot more than Jack, and don't want either of them dead - yeah, Sawyer and Spike should totally get their girls. *g*

Cool beans, as my husband would say. (What does that mean?) I'm very interested in your opinion on the Spike/Angel conversation in particular. The first half took me much longer to write than the second half. :-)
