LOL... well, after like an hour, I realized I had to go to the bathroom, so I had to call the attendant in to unplug me, walk to the bathroom, attempt to hit the toilet without wearing my glasses (my, THAT was fun), and get re-plugged back in. I lost count of all the electrodes she ( Read more... )

Speaking as a veteran of two sleep studies, knocking a wire out isn't that big of a problem...you have two of each kind of wire they need. That's part of why there are so many of them.

I didn't realize you were going in for a sleep study. One of the fun thing about wearing a CPAP is that you have to learn to sleep a new way. Before I got mine, I very frequently slept on my stomach. I can't quite do that anymore, because my face can't be in the pillow...the mask gets in the way.

If you want to see what a CPAP looks like for real, come over Mark's when I'm visiting and you can see mine :)

My dad has actually used one for, gosh, 10 years now? So I'm intimately familiar with it... hehe...

Speaking of - did you get your flights set? What's the schedule?

Gah, I never told you, did I? Sorry, me being scatterbrained. I did get the flights set. I'm getting to Cincy about 7:45pm on Sunday the 17th, and flying out at 9am on Wednesday the 20th. Mark's taking off the Monday/Tuesday and offered me crash space and pickup/dropoff.

Can't wait to see you guys!

LMAO... "showing your stuff" were you? Good luck with that. If you end up needing a CPAP... talk to Joe (killlerjoe)... he's just now getting used to it.

He hasn't said much about it lately... has he reached that all-important "acceptance" phase? :)

He's getting there... he's woke up in the morning with it on several times in a row now... so this is a good thing...
