Misogyny is still worse in the UK than in the US
You know I’m glad to see Alex back playing roles on US TV. The stint on Doctor Who finally clued US TV show producers to what an awesome actress Alex is. I think she gets far more love from fans everywhere outside of the UK. I don’t think younger adults will understand that the whole concept of a romantic relationship between a man and woman that is a completely equal relationship was deemed impossible until John and Yoko made the world see that it was indeed possible (not without missteps, of course, they were and are human beings after all). Kishimoto's take on ninja culture comes closer than you might realize to the real historical ninjas
It’s interesting in Naruto how Kishimoto uses the actual historical ninja culture. The stereotypical ninja image comes from Japanese fiction written over 100 years after ninja villages were either wiped out or forced into the samurai class.
