I have babbled to my new housemates about this already, because now they have the misfortune of being around me a lot, but I have just recently learned about the whole Adam Lambert and Tommy Joe R- uh, no, actually, he might google himself or something. Well, the photographic evidence would say . . . you're not wrong. No official call re: prior boykissing, but given what is there, yeah, I'm with you. He's NOT new to it. And he's DEFINITELY not new to makeup. Or wearing all black. Or having bleached blond hair.

Also, also: two years, 15 days younger than you. Which makes him 13 days older than Frank Iero, who he reminds me of (as his and Adam's stage antics remind me of Frank and Gerard's. I, uh, may have found a new sub-genre of fic to want. Haha).

Hee! I love how people are getting into American Idol fandom inadvertently. Lambert's not my type of music, but it's a fun album. No idea about Tommy Joe, but I'm pretty sure he's also written some bad goth poetry. :D

This was fascinating to read, and makes a lot lot of sense! I got into AI via the actual American Idol (what one does when one is bored at school? I guess...) so I had no idea who Tommy was when I first entered fandom and it made very little sense as I only knew the AI contestants. Still, this I think would be a good point to work into fic. And would actually make it more interesting. Also you should totally listen to the album because I (and my mother!) think it's awesome. I see someone up the comments offered to send it to you, if that doesn't work out I could send a copy your direction as well!

Having now looked at more pictures, dude also has a lot of punk and metal in his provenance, but he's been wearing makeup for ages. He's surely used to looking like a freak and having normal people assume all kinds of things about him. I imagine he's fairly secure in what he does and doesn't want and even if he suddenly wanted something new and unexpected, he wouldn't flip out.

Also, while I can't judge whether he actually wants to have sex with Adam or not, he has a HUGE HUGE crush. Those sparkly little hearteyes are not faked. And he seems to be the kind of slutty boy who just likes kissing anyway. Which is great.

So yeah, I totally think it's a good basis for a fictional characterization!
