  • A minimum word count of 10,000 words. We're not going to be too doctrinaire about ( Read more... )

    25 - 50 word summary? longstrt June 19 2010, 12:39:27 UTC
Does that mean that I'm being too verbose at 150 words?

Let's call the 25 to 50 a minimum. *g* (A few people have expressed concerns about giving away too much of their plot in a public post, so the lower word count was in part to accommodate their concerns.)

And go you for being so far ahead of the game!

Thanks for the reminder of details, deadlines etc. Eeeek! And thanks for the creativity guide too - I was chuffed to see "parent" listed as a creative type but am a little worried by When something is killing your creativity, kill it. Because haha you can guess what single-handedly kills my creativity *g* and omg the long summer holiday is upon us :D

Eeeeeek, indeed. I can't believe how fast it's come upon us.

Hey, parenting is a massively creative pursuit. When it's not brain suckingly exhausting, of course. (We're at a fun stage ourselves right now. When we're not experiencing defiance of the sort only a four year old or teenager can manage, that is.) Try not to, you know, kill the kid(s). *g*

    Here, have some cheerleading. *\o/* *\o/* *\o/* *\o/* *\o/*

And if worse comes to worst, at least you'll have a head start on a lovely long story you can finish at some later date. Right? Right?!

Ah... you've just given me the perfect out, a good reason not to push to finish, it won't go to waste anyway.

Thank you! *breathes out and relaxes*

No, no, no, no, no! That wasn't meant to give you an out! 'Cause I'd rather read the story sooner rather than later.

And if you don't finish it now, I shall hound you--hound you, I say--until it is done.

    Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Well, I should have some free time soon. Papers and finals are this coming week, short has been finished and shows tonight, I have nothing after Tuesday. Should, uh, set nose to grindstone and write. Right.

Oh no, small child trumps voluntarily taken-on projects for time and energy any day. I had the time to do them, I just put them off and now is the last minute. Totally mea culpa.

    Yay friends!
