When did you start watching "Chuck" ?

I always love replies to this question. When did you become a Chuck fan? More specifically, what episode? Did any of your friends introduced you to it? Or vice versa?

So many questions, so many. )

Oh, I loved Chuck ever since seeing the pilot! I think it was the promos that got to me prior to the series premiere. But then I stopped watching after the second or third episode because I was told that since I'm an English Major, I'm not allowed to watch TV & I'd rather be studying instead. So that's what I did; but that show never left my mind. I even bought the first season on DVD sometime last year & tried to catch up with it, but school still kept getting in the way ( ... )

Awesome question! I love reading how other people started watching beauparadox April 24 2010, 04:54:17 UTC
I was always aware of the show but had missed the pilot when it aired and it snowballed into my not watching it since classes generally keep me pretty busy. This past Comic Con I was at the TV Guide panel because a friend had wanted to stay for it and Zac was on the panel. They played a Chuck clip (the end of The Ring! Can you imagine having that be the first thing you see from Chuck?! XD Yay knowing the destination but not the journey). Zac was just so flipping awesome, as was the clip, that I knew I immediately had to check it out.

So, I marathoned the entire first two seasons within days of getting home from the con. And then marathoned it again with my sister, my best friend, my mom, AND my other sister because they all wanted to know what I had become so obsessed with (my dad had watched, unbeknownst to me, since the beginning of season 2! I was shocked when I told him "about this show Chuck" and he said he loved it; he'd never mentioned it before). Now my whole family sits down on Mondays and watches the show together :]

I caught a glimpse of it while channel surfing one day (mid S2) and thought hmmm, interesting didn't really know what it was, then some of my LJ friends started raving about this show called chuck and low and behold on clicking on a picspam it was the show I had seen but never knew what it was. I then bought the S1 DVDs and watch them in 2 days, I was in love but had missed S2 so waited for the DVDs and the rest as they say is history

Since the beginning!:) Was looking for new shows to watch and heard about these new shows Chuck and Reaper (I think their pilot eps were like on the same week even?) that would be airing soon. To be honest I preferred the latter at the beginning... but Chuck kept on getting better and better!

(Uh off topic, but are there any ex-Reaper fans here? Had anyone else noticed similarities (in setting/ side-plot or even jokes?) between the 2 shows? Haha wanted to ask this SO long ago. Maybe cos I started watching them at the same time so I kept on comparing them:/ I can't really recall what I found similar, but I do remember the leads both had superiors in their stores that were really unlikeable and BOTH wore this cowboy outfit during the Halloween week haha/ random)

I have a very weird taste when it comes to TV. I want shows where things happen. (Alias - Buffy - X Files - The Pretender - NCIS - Criminal Minds - Castle - Lie to Me - Bones - Farscape - Stargate Atlantis - Babylon 5 - Superman etc) I am not the type to sit and watch reality TV or soap operas or just comedies or school teen dramas... I mean If a yawn could yawn... I find them utterly boring! I am 36 years old and the only exceptions are Friends and The West Wing. Both shows I recommend to anyone! Its not that I don't try to watch other stuff. Its just that it does not stick! So when the new shows were presented way back and I started reading plot synopses I was intrigued. Here was a show that not only had the adventurous spy stuff but also the sci-fi into it? I watched the pilot and absolutely fell in love with the show. By the second episode I was hooked. I have been following the show ever since. Here was a show that brought not only the adventurous element to it but also the comedic one... and by throwing in the intersect ( ... )

I'd just like to say that I think you have excellent taste in television shows. *GRIN* I watch most of the ones you listed (the only ones I haven't seen are Pretender, Alias, Stargate or Babylon).
