even if it's only been 5 days and not even a full week, we sure had a lot of events happen during that time.

first off, i went to meet a family who wanted to hire me as their private English tutor.  the husband found me on www.nativesensei.com (i posted my profile on findstudents.net).  i didn't know who he was, and i'm normally wary of Japanese ( Read more... )

Wow 7 days working and no rest. I admire your energy alot as well as the passion for teaching. And hey you know the school that kenshin and myself are attending is KUMON too. I think they have pretty good materials but the homework is driving me crazy though. I think Kay will be able to learn alot from there.
Rest well while you can before hectic April starts.
Take care.

wow! Kenshin gets homework too? but he's only 2! D:

i'm glad that Kay's going now and she is learning a lot, especially in math since we realized through her homework that she doesn't know her numbers very well. she's all right up until like 12, but after that, she gets easily confused. hubs and i don't teach her math/numbers since it's an abstract thing and not something she can just learn through osmosis like English or Japanese. :)

although, i don't know if we'll continue after this month. hubs says that having her go to hoikuen PLUS Kumon would be a bit of a strain on our schedules since we have to take her there and pick her up. i don't know my schedule yet, but i'll probably be working during her Kumon times, which means that hubs will have to deal with the Kumon schedule and he's really busy himself :P

thanks for the comment and yea, i'm going to cherish all this free time i have right now ^_^

Yeah kenshin has homework too which hes always refusing to do and I have to go back apologizing and explained. But we are fine with him not doing cos we don't want to force too much on him and result in him disliking learning. But again his homework are pretty easy ones like join point a to point b with a line etc. Mostly lines.

I'm not sure where's kay's Japanese standard is. But I myself is taking the ichinensei Japanese class from
KUMON and the homework is driving me nuts. I couldnt understand so much. But again kids absorb so much faster than adults. I will post some shots to show you next time. ;)

Take care.
