Right now I'm eavesdropping on a job interview with a potential theology professor (right now he's talking about the relationship between theology and biblical studies -- something I'm greatly interested in, partially because my wife is becoming a biblical scholar), conducted by my advisor, one of my professors, and some other priests. I would say that for me, without a doubt, the hardest part of your program would be learning the languages. That isn't to say that the program isn't difficult, but I can't comprehend how anyone could learn another language well enough to understand nuances in it, let alone another 4. I say that if you can do that, you can do the rest easily.

I also think that it is the hardest part. The German and French, I should say, I don't need to know so well as to understand nuances, as it's just for reading articles/books written in those languages. Latin and Greek, on the other hand. . . .
