Learning my lessons

Some people, it's said, don't believe in magic. They're constantly challenging others to show proof, or to offer something "real". Well, it's been said that asking a Chaos Magician to "prove it" might just garner the rather frightening response of "I'll see what I can do."1And so, I offer a personal experience, just for you, from my early years ( Read more... )

There are good caves in Ketucky. Hiking, too, I suspect. We should do so sometime!

We could. Warco, though, is hard to get to. There are easier places to get to.

I never said it had to be Warco. Anywhere works. I haven't roamed around Kentucky in a long time.

Whatever, tentacles. I don't go to KY without good reason anymore

I'm sorry to be off-topic here, but hey dere. I was wondering if I could borrow your packet for Mesoamerican class for a night or two, if we could somehow arrange to meet up, because I've run out of the "partial packet" my group got, and would like to not be any more behind in that class than I probably am. If not, that's cool, I'll ask Lindsay, I just figured you might have it handier (and would probably not ask as many embarassing questions about photocopying a packet in the fifth week).

Mine's double-sided, so it's not the best or easiest to copy. I'll gladly loan it to you, but you'll find it a lot easier to copy one of the single-sided ones that one of our other classmates might have. Check with me in class today.

Btw, Jones missed you in class on Tues. We were talking about our sites, and he got to one of yours and said, "Is Matthew here? No? That's a shame."

I have a feeling that he's going to be asking people about their sites for a while.

He also asked us to get a folder that we could submit our work in for each assignment, that would be passed back. So you might want to invest in one before class if you get the chance.

I actually might regrettably miss class today, too. I'm having a turd of a time trying to find any information whatsoever for these damned worksheets. I pulled an all-nighter tonight to fine-tooth-comb through books for the first worksheet's prompt and barely came up with a half-page for both my sites. I don't know if it's better to come to class without the second worksheet done, or just show up on Tuesday with the past three worksheets done. Oy. I should not be awake this late/early.

This worksheet is going to have less information than many of the others. Come to class with it. Mine are both shorter than the first one, but then, I'm really getting into these sites, so they're starting to look really good on paper, though I'm still not real happy with what I've got.

I'd give it a shot, but if it didn't work, I'd be stuck with no Washburn to fix the problem. :)

Meh. I've always thought that "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" was an ok part of Fantasia, but not nearly my favorite. I think my favorite bit from that is the Pastoral.

The fun part was that I immediately began humming that song just before I started reading.

I suppose it might be fun to read this with a soundtrack. . .
