It's been a long, long week. I set up a schedule for myself, because I just have SO much to get done. Tuesday I worked on writing. Wednesday was manuscript reading day. And yes, I spent much of it actually reading. I have a pile of partials and fulls, one of which is 100K, to get through. Slogged through some queries, wrote some rejection.

I've been reading a lot of submissions lately. Ok, not a huge amount, but a fair few, just to keep the slush from overrunning the world. Authors get so testy when you've not read their submission for six months after receiving it. LOL. Of course I can relate - authors ( Read more... )

Yesterday I got my copy of Wizard Academies I... and I am SO impressed. I've never ordered a book from lulu before. The cover on this thing... well, the pics don't do it justice. The interiors are lovely, and the formatting is beautiful. I've started reading some of the stories, and they're quite good. I know it's a pricey book, but this it totally ( Read more... )
