When do I get a vacation?

My hubby's on vacation this week. Which means, basically, that MY schedule is interrupted all week. Not much writing getting done around here, because Saturday was painting day, Monday we spent it out all day(but that was okay, you're allowed not to write on your birthday), and Tuesday afternoon we spent constructing bookshelves.

Holy cow--you've been busy! I'm worn out just reading about it.

And why is it that having husbands home so dramatically screws with the schedules of those of us who work from home?

Yeah, what's up with that? I was on track to write over 10K this month, but I don't know I'll get that much done. I still have another 3,000 words in order to make that.

Husbands. Can't live with 'em, can't shoot 'em. :)

Great review! Isn't that the truth about hubbies having vacations?

I need to make bookmarkers too. I think I'll order some from Vistaprint. Can I ask how did you put yours together?

Those I did myself on Word. I've heard some people say they made their bookmarks using the brochure template or the oversized postcards, two to a postcard.

Me, I bought a ream of cardstock at Staples for $10 two years ago and I'm still using it. I opened a new document, turned in to landcape. Then I inserted a five colum, one row table. The colums are about 2" wide, and just adjust the length to fit the page. Play with it to make the borders how you want, then play with the first one. Get that the way you want it, with image and text and all, then copy and paste to the other four cells. Easy. Once you've got a template, just change it around for each kind you want to make.

And I spray the bookmarks before I cut them apart. I use my scrapbooking paper cutter with the straight edge. If you've got a papercutter, even better. It might sound confusing, but it's not too hard. Just play around with it, you can do them however you want.
