If you like horses, I think this book is a must-read! The caipall uisce are incredibly dangerous and predatory, but you grow to love some of them as characters in their own right.

I try not to gush too often in my reviews, so when I do, you know I really mean it! :)

This isn't part of a series is it? I tried to look that up but I'm afraid of spoilers LOL. It doesn't end on a cliffhanger or anything?

No cliffhanger, and no sequels as far as I know. In fact, I will be VERY MAD if Stiefvater tries to write a sequel to this in the future, because it stands on its own so well!

Looks like you liked this as much as I did! I am SO glad.

Btw, I just made an inter-library loan request for Kate Ross's Cut to the Quick. Can't wait to get it!

IT WAS SO GOOD! I'm dying to get my own copy now.

I'm so excited that you're going to try Cut to the Quick as well! I hope you love it as much as I did!

I'm dying to get my own copy now. Me too! I'm going to hold out for the paperback. Only way to justify buying a book I've already read! ;)

I'm really excited about Cut to the Quick. I'll have to get the second book from inter-library loan as well but my library has books three and four. I totally hate that, though, when they only have the back end of a series - mphfff! *steam comes out ears*

I'm torn...I wouldn't mind having the hardcover, but it seems only sensible to wait for the paperback. If only the release date weren't so far in the future!

I know what you mean about libraries and series. My local library has that problem too -- it has the most recent installment of a lot of series, but it doesn't carry the earlier books. I guess I see why that's the case sometimes, but that doesn't make it any less incredibly frustrating!
