If you like horses, I think this book is a must-read! The caipall uisce are incredibly dangerous and predatory, but you grow to love some of them as characters in their own right.

I try not to gush too often in my reviews, so when I do, you know I really mean it! :)

This isn't part of a series is it? I tried to look that up but I'm afraid of spoilers LOL. It doesn't end on a cliffhanger or anything?

No cliffhanger, and no sequels as far as I know. In fact, I will be VERY MAD if Stiefvater tries to write a sequel to this in the future, because it stands on its own so well!

I know! Especially any type of YA fantasy novel -- they all seem to be trilogies by default.

I actually bought a copy today as well. Barnes & Noble gave me a coupon, and I knew it was a sign!
