Indeed it's true that we need to be willing to forgive. That's not always easy of course but as Christians that's what we're called to do, it's what God has done for us through Jesus. Try not to make your friend feel bad about what has happened (even if you feel that they are in the wrong) Be willing to make the first move towards a full reconciliation. Unfortunately sometimes things can never be fully repaired but do your best to play your part in the reconciliation.

Thanks for the warning about how easy it is to start a quarrel but so hard to rectify the results. Hope you manage to sort things out with your friend.
James reminds us how we need to be careful with the things we say.

I know so many children of divorce. Unhealed bickering really hurt them as well. I wish more people practiced biblical reconciliation before they walked out on their marriage.
