Don't bust the dam

May 30, 2011 06:07

Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out. Proverbs 17:14, New International Version
Anger causes unkind words to explode out like an erupting volcano and cause hurt to each other. Then it takes a lot of work to repair the damage done. Sometimes it cannot be repaired
There is a person who I was always very close to. She began to start wild crazy arguments about nothing. Bad things were said about and to each other. Even though we still talk with each other, the closeness is not there and I don’t think it will ever return again. Please when you have a difference with someone, write it down and talk it out. If possible have a trusted mediator there. When anger starts in the argument take a time out
Prayer: Oh wise councilor please give me the wisdom on how to handle disputes in a Christ like manner. If the matter cannot be settled between us, guide us to a good councilor. In Jesus’ sweet name I pray. Amen
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day
