When has the world not been in some serious times? When has the Satan not left a profound mark on the earth? What makes this end time prophecy different than all the others made in the past 2,000 years? Does your position that we have 4 good years left negate Christ's declaration that we will not know the time or place?

I think it's plainly obvious from every comment I've left in this thread that I think everything you say is complete and total crap, laughable, and has nothing whatsoever to do with Scripture, not in the slightest. I think you speak horse manure out of your mouth.

The stupidity of your question has nothing to do with whether or not this could happen. It has to do with you actually believing for a second that it has anything to do with the Book of Revelation. If I don't get a chip in my hand or a government ID card, it will be because I object politically, not because of the Book of Revelation.
Revelation 13:11-16, NIVladytamliAugust 18 2008, 05:21:18 UTC
Look, I think we have a few other things to worry about before the Mark even becomes an issue:
11 Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon.
12 He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed.
13 And he performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men.
14 Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived.
15 He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.
Try reading the first part of something before you just pick a scripture out of thin air, please. -_-;;;

I agree. Also, I don't know why we should all be "getting ready" for the end. Why busy ourselves trying to live Godly lives, when we already should be? And not so we don't get some chip or whatever on us- but for the Glory of God.
If the end comes, hey, it comes. I welcome it. I can't wait for the day I get to see my Savior. I'm not the best believer- not even close- but I know He won't care because He loves me just the same.
So for the "end of the world"? I say: BRING IT ON!

no man might buy or sell
And you think within 4 years, each three-hut village in 3rd world countries will have this high-tech chip? I suggest we take our Western glasses off for a minute.

So, you're linking a particular piece of technology to "the mark of the beast". What is your evidence for this? Just because one attribute is in common does not mean that they are the same. Satan has the same knowledge of the Scriptures that Jesus does, does that make them the same?

I'd say it is blasphemy, straight out. Anyone who tries to put a date or a year on the Second Coming is not speaking with the Holy Spirit, but rather is speaking with a demon.
