I had kind of a flat reaction to the film version of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Wasn't feelin' it. Kind of frustrating in light of having been touched and moved by other movies in the series, including

Which actually isn't fair anymore, 'cause I flipped on those films: I don't think The Wedding Singer holds up or is really all that funny (HEY HERE'S A RANDOM EIGHTIES REFERENCE ISN'T THAT FUNNY?), while The Waterboy makes me howl and I no longer apologize for that. I do sometimes quote Kathy Bates saying "Well a snake doesn't have 'parts,' per se, but you can imagine you're eating its knee."
Now I weirdly want to write a review in haiku.
