Summer School started two weeks ago, and this is the last week of classes before the 4th of July week off. And since I am teaching Acceleration, I have an extra two days after that. BUT... I am so close to the end and my trip to Germany ( Read more... )

Hi! I know, I haven't talked to you in, like, forever.:D But thought I would pop in! First off, this is so awesome, and it looks like you've been doing some amazing stuff in some really intelligent and long-lasting ways!:) Secondly, how short are you?:D I thought you were closer to my height, but when I got down near 113, once, I was bordering on underweight and couldn't build muscle. I'm better off in the 120s. Either way, go you! And have an awesome time in Germany!

:D It's been pretty quiet on LJ... although I know I haven't helped that!

I am 4'7" (so I say... but I am sure I'm a bit closer to 4'5"). When I lost the weight the first time, three years ago, I got down to 116, or less, I was walking everyday and even running a bit. Trust me, dwarfs running is like watching a whale dance - not pretty. I am sadly not doing any walking beyond what I do for the classroom.

If I stay around 120, I am happy. I can fit into 6/8s, I feel good about my body and am pain-free - except for the Texas storm we just had - my knees killed me! I started this with the plan to get the weight off my legs and back, and body image.

Thanks! I am so glad I can go back to Germany and see friends and family.

Ah, okay, that makes sense, then.LOL I'm just under 5'6".:) It really is ALL about being at a weight where you FEEL good. I aim for a medically healthy weight first, then refine to where I feel good. At my thinnest, I didn't even feel "beautiful", I just felt deflated and weak and unhealthy. I really didn't expect that, but that's what happened. Added back about 7 pounds and felt MUCH healthier AND more attractive.

And I do not run. I walk, but mainly YOGA is my way of life. Not only do my knees hate me if I run, but I just don't build up properly. I'm not made for it. (Did you ever see The Muppets Take Manhattan?? Did you see Miss Piggy leaning on the lamp post panting when she tried to jog?? Yep, that's me.:))

ETA: 6/8 is a small enough size for any woman, imo. That's around where I like to be, as well.

I have no idea how you can eat like this :P So jealous that you manage to lose weight. Go you !!!

I'm battling the ups and downs, and at the moment my "oh I can eat this again" has made the weight flux back up :(

We fly in on July 15 and leave August 4 I think. Only a few days in London (July 25-30?).
