Medical stuff...

So...I had been having chest pain for like a month and a half in the left side of my chest. It wasn't much fun...in fact, no fun at all. So after weeks of dealing with it, afraid that it might be my heart, I went to the doctor last Friday and had it checked out ( Read more... )

Heh. When I pulled a muscle in my leg (tripping over the cat) they gave me some of that as an anti-inflammatory and painkiller. I think the medical genius who prescribed it didn't take into account the fact that I was a flyweight, because a half-dose was plenty, and a full-dose completely shut off the filter between brain and mouth. "Fucking-A", "Holy shit", and "damn straight" were not part of my normal at-work vocabulary at the Office Despot, but the first day I took a full dose at work.....

I weight 132 lbs, and I've not had any issue with saying something I shouldn't while taking the 500mg dose, except for a single slip of "fuck" when I was talking to Annie's parents; Annie's done that before, and she's not on any medication.

*shrug*

Given that I'm on psychotropic drugs and have been known to have wierd reactions to even OTC stuff (Benadryl makes me stoned) I'm not overly shocked to find that you didn't have the same filterless effect.

Or maybe it's just because you're unfiltered to begin with!

I would guess it is the psychotropic drugs and your normal OTC reactions.

Could be the filter thing, though quite doubtful. I don't cuss while in class.

I had the same thing happen to me not 2 months ago... The anti-inflammatory (Naprosin...probably the same thing you're on?) helped, but I still can feel it sometimes. I'm noticing I'm tensing up my left shoulder quite a bit involuntarily, so I'm not sure what the deal is. I'm considering seeing a chiropractor, but I've never liked them.
