[ Korea tries to restrain the joy in his voice. It sounds like another has experienced the magic of Korean dreams! Er. Dramas. ]

[ WHAT THE CONFUCIUS ARE YOU DOING IN MY DREAM? BUT DRAMAS DO PUT HIM IN A GOOD MOOD... ]

If this was a real drama, she'd be in a coma! Hmm, maybe she'll wake up years later. The main character would date another girl after much hesitation and his feelings of love would be revived when she wakes up!

...You like dramas?

If you're talking about my dramas, they're weekly televised events!

[Otonashi watched all that with a pained smile, maybe faint tears in his eyes. but he wasn't fully crying! he's rather touched, most of all.]

... Heh, this is why I don't like dramas. [he lifted his hand to dry his eyes]

Yeah, they leave those unpleasant feelings in you sometimes. You know?

[like how sometimes, you can relate to scenes... then you realize the drama will have a happy ending. will it be the same for you? the pressure just grows inside. though, all you can do is smile and do your best regardless.]

But it's because it's so touching that you can feel anything at all! Life isn't so simple, either... Isn't it amazing that a drama can capture that?

[SO confused. What was that. It was kind of sad, but he's not going to show that, especially to Korea of all people.]

He does realize placing a bandage on her heart will not help anything, does he not?

You're really cold, you know! Even if it doesn't help, it's super romantic! It's a metaphor for his feelings!

If it's a metaphor for his feelings, shouldn't he place the bandage on his own heart? It's his own heart that's aching, not hers.

No, no! He can't put a band-aid on his own heart! That would ruin it!

[ DEEP BREATH. He has to explain this, doesn't he? ]

The only one who can put a band-aid on his heart is Ga-In. If he puts a band-aid on himself, then it's not the same! The band-aid is symbolic of his comfort through her love so he can't comfort himself. That's why he has to put the band-aid on her heart. It's his way of allowing Ga-In to find peace!
