[SO confused. What was that. It was kind of sad, but he's not going to show that, especially to Korea of all people.]

He does realize placing a bandage on her heart will not help anything, does he not?

You're really cold, you know! Even if it doesn't help, it's super romantic! It's a metaphor for his feelings!

If it's a metaphor for his feelings, shouldn't he place the bandage on his own heart? It's his own heart that's aching, not hers.

No, no! He can't put a band-aid on his own heart! That would ruin it!

[ DEEP BREATH. He has to explain this, doesn't he? ]

The only one who can put a band-aid on his heart is Ga-In. If he puts a band-aid on himself, then it's not the same! The band-aid is symbolic of his comfort through her love so he can't comfort himself. That's why he has to put the band-aid on her heart. It's his way of allowing Ga-In to find peace!

[Yes, he does, because Austria doesn't get your weird Asian dramus.

...

Does he get it now?

...Not really, sadly. Your dramas are weird, Korea.]

But he could do something more traditional to show he cares. He could purchase flowers, or something of that nature.

[ You are perhaps the biggest challenge he has ever encountered. Luckily his enthusiasm and expertise knowledge is here to drill the wonderful world of dramas into your head. ]

Don't you remember? Ga-In's family owns a flower shop. Flowers aren't as special to her!

[At least he's only arguing with your (what he thinks is) fail-logic, Korea. Wait until he makes you get him things.]

Then perhaps he could have purchased some sort of jewelry for her. There are much better alternatives to a bandage of misplaced symbolism.

[ It's Austria who will be getting things, by the time he is done with you. ]

If he bought her jewelry, she wouldn't be able to wear it outside. It has to be a bandage!

[hahahahahahaaa funny story. Austria only gets things that are Austrian. Like music and Mozart and cake and classiness.]

Why could she not wear jewelry outside? It's a perfectly acceptable fashion accessory for women.

[ Korea hereby concludes that rationalizing came from him and not Austria. ]

She's in a coma. How can she go outside...?

You were the one that suggested it. [because really, what else would any reasonable Austrian have assumed Korea meant by that?]

I meant...to her funeral.

That's preposterous. Of course she can wear jewelry to her funeral. It could be a token of his affection that will stay with her always! [that's how romance novels describe things, anyway.]

Don't be silly! Nobody would ever see that!

[ Ha ha ha! That's funny! ]

Of course they would, you idiot! You are forgetting about the viewing before the person is buried.

We don't do that in Korea. It's disrespectful to the body!
