Well, at least they haven't carved it into the moon (yet).

I only read part of the article. Will the eggs be more expensive due to the labor involved? Will people pay extra? I can imagine people buying them for the novelty factor, saving them and ending up with rotten eggs.

I see a world of opportunities here. You can etch messages on eggs and then throw them and people and things you hate. The possibilities are endless. Get me some stock in egg etching!

i can only imagine the price cbs pays for advertising underwrites the cost of the process (plus a little). once you get past the novelty, there's probably be a severe and rapid drop-off in sales other wise.

sure, but now you can save all that effort and just buy 'em ready-made. according to the article, one of the shows they're promoting is csi. if that isn't appropriate for an egging, i don't know what is....
