Apart from bead colour tests (and bead production, the other goal of the firing was to test a new batch of glaze. Peacock Blue, cone 10, using British ingredients.

These are fine beads, but not the beads I was going for. They were a test of new pink, purple, and yellow stains. The yellow made it, the others burned off.

Some online printing place is trying to tempt me with an offer of 100 postcards for £1, which by the time we add on the fee for uploading my own design, shipping, and VAT, actually is just under £9. Alas, the offer is good for only one image, so I have to choose (then see if their work is worth paying more for next time).

I just got my California congressional election ballot in the post. Yay!

Is it my imagination, or does "Dick Mountjoy" sound more like a made up porn name than a senator name? I won't be voting for him, but not because of his name. With only two votes to cast, I'll be voting straight party, and it's not his party.
