P.S. if you check out the FREE newspaper called the Phoenix...they have tons of listings of bands playing, musicians wanted, open mic night, poetry readings, etc that take place in the Portland area. I try to look at it a good amount, but somtimes fail and I usually never have anyone to go with and some can be 21+. But that's just an idea for you to ponder.
Ya I definitely understand about the not really connecting to anyone here. Who knows maybe transfering wouldn't be such a bad idea, that's what I'm doing. I think your student musician idea is a good one, you should talk to someone about that because I think a lot of people would go. P.S. happy early birthday :)
Maybe if you transferred to a school or a town that has a niche for young musicians, or a school where they often have random lectures that you could go to you could keep yourself occupied.
I certainly agree with a lot of what you say, expecially about the school being really small and almost connectionless. But I disagree on the part about SJC not allowing students to put on a good concert. Let me explain why

I want work because idle time is a killer. It makes me realize that I don't have anybody to spend idle time with.
thats just one of those things...a concept thats always with me, but ive never been able to put it into words.
all i can say is that in the short time ive spent with you over the last few months, its been very easy to realize youre an extremely talented person with so much potential. im sure whatever path you take will lead you to success...
