Thank you for such awesome feedback! Because, well, YES! You nailed all their big issues, and that's really what the story is about: figuring out if they can really manage all the inherent hazards of this kind of relationship. It's really a catch-22, like you noted, and what I set out to explore when I began this series was whether or not such a relationship was sustainable. And it's hard, 'cause there are some deep issues that might be insurmountable - one of which, as you mentioned, is the imbalance between Adam and Katy and what they want from each other. (but wow, I love those two and exploring that relationship)
I'm not sure how many more parts there will be. One or two, with the possibility of the odd ficlet in the 'verse too. Honestly, it depends on what happens in the next part!
So glad you enjoyed the story, and once again, thank you for such thoughtful feedback!
Excuse me while I spontaneously explode from joy. I occasionally go back and reread the first two parts, and stare the comment where you mentioned you were working on the next bit, and desperately hoped that you would not, in fact, abandon it, and THEN HOLY CRAP THIS SHOWS UP ON MY FLIST UNEXPECTEDLY!!!!!!
Seriously, I love this so freaking much. ♥ ♥ ♥
I normally save fics to read in the evening so I can do homework while I've got internet, but I said "fuck you" to my computer science homework and read it immediately, because there was no way in hell I could know this existed and not read it right away.
hahaha, I can't count how many times I did the same thing when I was in school! So glad my series/story is one that inspires such a need for instant gratification, LOL (seriously, it's quite rewarding to read that someone goes back and rereads your fic! Love that!)
This series is my heart... I would be so sad if the characters stopped talking to me. We've got at least one more story to go. :)
i remember us talking about this a long time ago! Glad you continued it. I'll never really ship threesomes(especially with Katy in with the Kradam) but I have to admit I am curious. Couple that with the fact that you are an excellent writer, and I am sure to read the rest! Can't wait, actually. And I have to say I have an enormous amount of respect for you making such an effort not to leave Katy all miserable. I think in the end, IRL, if Kradam happens, realistically, yeah, she'll wind up in misery..but in fiction, you can do with her, and the boys, as you like. That's the beauty of story telling. good job.
It was kind of a long time ago, wasn't it?? I definitely remember, though, and was looking forward to your thoughts on this one. :)
Totally understand your perspective on how this wouldn't work IRL - and I think you're right, of course; if Kradam happened IRL I really doubt Katy would be on board. But as you say, in fiction we can play around a bit, and here I want to see what would happen if all parties were willing to give a threesome a go. I'm glad you're reading this, and enjoying it so far!
Nice to find Kradam shippers/tinhatters that don't absolute hate Katy Allen. Yes, she is inconvenient, no doubt. But she is also a person and Kris's wife. I don't dislike her, like I said before. I actually pity her..I'd hate to have to compete with the force that is Adam Lambert for my partner's affections. Nobody would win that battle LOL. So yes, VERY interesting to see. And hey, just because it was eventually a disaster for me and everyone I've known to try it, and I certainly won't be trying anything like that again in a hurry, does NOT mean that it'll never work for anyone...exceptions to every rule and all that. Besides, the best part of fandom is making things into what WE want them to be with no restrictions. Happy writing, can't wait for more!
haha, one thing writing this story has ABSOLUTELY taught me is that I never want to be a part of a menage a trois. I mean, all I'm doing is using my imagination and trying to implement the real problems that would be there... which means there's at least another 50% of problems that I'm not even aware of. I'd find it absolutely amazing if any trio managed to make it long-term. Not impossible, but certainly extremely rare. Adam, Kris, and Katy might seem happy now, but this was the honeymoon. Real life just slapped them in the face.
No worries about spamming the thread, I was busy enjoying my first Adam concert! Absolutely nothing is bothering me right now. LOL
I've read both parts before this previously and it's so weird, because I keep telling myself that I would NEVER read something with Katy in it. But then I read this last part and realized why I keep coming back and reading your version of this threesome anyway.
You write them with such realness it's SCARY! Like this is the first bigbang I'm leaving a review on and I have so much I want to say and yet, no idea how to say it to you. I am absolutely enthralled and in LOVE with the way you write their budding relationship together. I got to the end of this part and wanted ANOTHER "Next Part" link because I didn't want into end whatsoever. There is so much that they still have to go through together and a LOT of problems they still need to talk out with each other. The biggest being the dynamic between Katy and Adam. And surprisingly, I found the the perspective I loved reading from the most was Katy's. I was fascinated by the look into her thoughts and how much she wants this to work. And that before she wanted it to work for Kris, but

So, this comment totally would have made my day (which has been a pretty awesome day) - the only thing beating it out right now is the fact that I just got home from my first Adam concert. I read this on my iPhone while waiting to get out of the parking lot and let me tell you, you made an AMAZING experience even better!
You write them with such realness it's SCARY!This is the best compliment ever, seriously. I truly couldn't ask for anything more from my story, and I'm incredibly flattered that you find my characters that authentic

I'm so glad that you gave it a shot even though it has Katy, and even more pleased that you enjoyed it!
