As most of you know, Christy and I confronted Mr. Hufty about everything that's been going on for the past year or so in choir. I think most of us feel relatively the same way in that things have changed and not for the better. I'm not going to reiterate what we said to him but I am going to say this:

We, the choir, need to step it up. We may feel ( Read more... )

Ahh, okay so I'm not in aca, but I think this applies to chamber too.
It bugs the crap out of me that half the class doesn't care. I'm gonna try to do some of those things, and I think the pencil basket is a good idea.

I don't think this very well represents the conversation we had with Mr. Hufty today. Not that you aren't right, I just think we need to compliment everyone for the killer job they do already. Yeah, we do need to step it up, but I can't place it all on our shoulders anymore. I just can't.

Thank you for this morning, Caitlin.

i totally agree with you christy! most of us are trying, and we deserve to be respected for that. not told that we are faliures. Even if we do need to step it up, we in no way deserved the things that he said.

and the pencil basket sounds good.

You're completely right. After re-reading it, I do see where you're coming from in that I do need to give more credit to the choir as a whole.
They (we... whatever) really are working our butts off and I guess I was too tied up in what happened that morning to address it.

eh, i just can't even look at him.
but i understand what you mean. and i know we could be doing things better. and i also know he could be taking things easier. I'm just afraid we're going to get there one day and he's gonna say "no more acappella"
that would be awful.

Off topic: Hey Caitlin. Do you think you could help me find jeans one day at the Buckle? I figured I'd be a 31, and I tried them on and they were really big on me so I freaked out and ran away. HELP! I want jeans with GOOD stretch and that fit well.

I will totally help you! I'm warning you though, the jeans over there are pretty expensive depending on which brand you get. Our house brand (BKE's) are still around $70-$80. But definately next weekend you and I will go over there, if you don't already have plans with Daniel, and I along with one of my friends that still works there, will definately help you find some AMAZING jeans.
