Is it just me, or is global internet shopping one big joke?

First there was the huge, popular knitting yarn manufacturer in the US who won't ship outside the country. Then there was the chocolate importer (their excuse that the chocky might melt is fair enough, but since most of it comes from outside the US in the first place the excuse is a wee bit thin). that is really weird! I've just received some shirts from Cafe Press so that seems doubly weird.

I usually get around the restrictions by arranging it to be sent to a friend in the US who forwards it on.

Send an email to Adam and Jamie...they can bust the myth of the international internet economy! Not sure how they would work in an explosion, but I'm sure they could manage it somehow *grin*.

Not that there is a local clothing industry anymore, about the only locally made clothes are the ones you see at con costume parades.
