Shana Tova!

Our preschool is closed for 8 days in September and for 2 days they have a noon dismissal. At least these 8 days include all Fridays, so I don't have to worry about the 3 pm dismissal every Friday as well. The joys of Jewish preschools :)

It's about the same with us. My friend counted that it's only open 12 days in September. At least we have our nanny and in-laws. How are you handling the holidays?

He is going back to his old home daycare for 5 of the days (it's now really close to our new house), my mom will be here for 3 of the days, and S. is managing the half days. But it ends up costing plenty extra.

Right, that's the hidden cost of our preschool too. The tuition is very reasonable, but when you add up all the vacations and holidays I could justify paying 20% more at another school. If I was at a 9-5 job this school wouldn't work for us.
