kawarashii, the sakuras end by early May. And I warn you July will be hot, and also probably rainy...However you might see hydrangeas. The azaleas and rhododendrons will be over too.

hey! thanks for replying :D
yeah I know the fact that Sakura ends on May ;__; but I thought maybe there is a possibility somehow ... like some special cases !
cuz I've got no other time but July to visit , and since the hear in Japan can't really beat the hear where I'm coming from , it won't be a problem ne!

and searching for the flowers you mentioned , I got excited! Thanks x3

Splendid photos, as usual. You really did explore Kurashiki!

I was there last August and saw much less, though I loved the canals and the atmosphere of the city, because it was so hot one simply couldn't last very long outside. Btw, I went to the Momotaro "museum": you missed nothing, it is really a sort of amusement house. Kurashiki does have a lot of nice shops where we escaped from the heat. I remember I had an udon lunch as well!

Since you were in Okayama, did you visit the garden there? Truly a beautiful park. the streetcar in front of the station takes one there [I went in the spring when the sakuras were blooming].

I only explored it so well, because I had way too much time, but that was nice, too, for a change ^-^;

Yes, I went to the garden and the castle 2 years ago in spring (around the same time as this year, but 2 years ago the cherry blossoms were in full bloom!!): http://chochajin.livejournal.com/155049.html

Sounds like you had quite a nice time in Kurashiki, too, apart from the heat! ^-^;
