I live in Kobe, so it's really nice to see the place through the eyes of a visitor. I've never visited any of the European houses in Kitano (because I'm from Europe so I figured it wouldn't be that exciting) so it's interesting to see your photos.

Incidentally, if you are seriously considering living here one day, I would highly recommend it. Kobe doesn't have a great deal for tourists (compared with say, Kyoto or Nara) but it's a great place to live. Plus, like you say, Kyoto and Nara and Osaka, etc are only a short train-ride away.

You live in Kobe? Wow that's awesome *a little bit envious* XD

That's good to know. Yeah, I didn't see so many tourists in Kobe (well, only Japanese tourists), but there were sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many foreign tourists in Nara - woah! Although Nara is a little bit "inaka-ish" apart from the sightseeing spots of course XD

Die Japaner haben eh von so vielen eurpäischen Dingen ein völlig verkehrtes Bild, da wundert mich bald gar nichts mehr!

Wow I learn something new every day! Actually, Kobe is one of the Japanese cities I have least knowledge of (besides the Hanshin earthquake, that it was once the capital for a brief time, huge port city and well...Kobe beef) ^-^ Like I didn't know they were a famous pastry city, and when I think of Westerners in Japan usually Nagasaki comes to mind :) I love the cute western houses, but like you said, it's probably more exciting for Japanese than us. Hehe, but the Finnish may be a bit disappointed by seeing Moomin-articles beeing placed in the Danish house *LOL* XDDD ( ... )

I didn't know much about Kobe other than that it was mentioned as a day trip when you're in Kyoto or Osaka, but as I had time, I researched and found out that there are quite some interesting things that made it worth staying some days ^-^

*lol* I know XD I think for Japanese people it's all the same: Norwegian, Danish, Finnish ... XD

P.S.: ICON LUV!! <33
