This episode is all about following your instincts and Sam's struggle to go with his gut and not think things through logically. Thinking logically and *knowing* that the IRA did not plant the bomb, for all the reasons he lists, nearly got Ray killed. I'm glad you liked it! When I started doing these, I realized that he has a very nice neck that needs to be licked and kissed. *ahem* As I was saying, he's a wonderful actor and I have no idea what you're talking about with the whole neck focus. XD

I love how he really draws you in with his expressions. And this show has such an intense focus on Sam that they need someone who can do that.

mmmm, lovely pics! I love how you're doing these. Are there ones with the first episodes at all? I'm following your "life on mars" tag, just so that I can get to them easier. (I have class in a few minutes, boo)

This episode isn't a fav of mine, but it has some great moments, like the way Sam and Gene are together, still doing their thing even though Sam's oops had him in the doghouse with them. I also like the scenes with him and that Patrick lad. It's sweet, i think. "Because I'm all you got, and you're all I got." Or however he said that. :)

Nope. I just watched the first season without talking about it much and then deleted my copies of the episodes. It was after starting to watch State of Play (that I have yet to finish), that I thought I'd do proper reviews.

I like that he redeemed himself and didn't give up. Also, here I can see that both Gene and Sam are starting to understand the other's methods. And, yeah, Gene's willing to put up with a lot from Sam and still work with him, isn't he?
