Life on Mars

I've finally gotten around to watching this. I've only seen the first episode so far, but I liked it enough that I immediately wanted to watch the next one. I actually saw the first 20 minutes before and wasn't happy, but I think it was that the picture quality was awful. Being able to see what's going on = awesome. One thing I've ( Read more... )

It took me a while to realize the hotness of John Simm. It sneaks up behind you when you're not looking and EATS YOUR BRAIN.

You can probably speed up the process by watching clips of him being extra-cute on YouTube. Especially anything from "The Lakes" or any interview where he smiles and looks shy (which is pretty much all of them).

I realize I may have been unclear about John Simm. I'm not immune to his hotness. I found him really hot as the Master, so I hope as he settles into 1973 some of that is going to come out in Sam Tyler role. Only without him being a psychopath.

I think Sam's hot. He's pretty overwhelmed in the first episode, but once he starts sparking off of Gene and being a smartass the sexiness comes out to play.

John Simm's brand of hot is kind of slow moving and initially it is hard to see past the flares and those crazy crazy shirts. But Life on Mars is a great series. Gene Hunt is the best kind of awesome.

I've heard all kinds of great things about LOM. Now that I have the whole series, I'll be powering though it in the next couple of weeks.

Hey shouldn't you be lying still??

Just got back from the chiropractor, and thought I would catch up on the Oscar news seeing it isn't been shown on TV here.

I agree with the others: John Simm grows on you. He actually didn't do much for me as the master, but as Sam Tyler I began to appreciate him more and more.

Your banana bread sounds delicious! I should try it out. My husband is a big banana fan. "Always bring a banana to a party. Bananas are good!"

Thanks! I just wanted a bit of reassurance. I think my expections got too high from all the squee.

It is an excellent banana bread - the secret is to undercook it just a little.
