Today's xkcd is made of awesome! I love it! It must have taken him forever to draw it. But if you don't want to take forever to look at it all (or don't have forever), how about a scrollable, scalable version? Which is also excellent for picking up things you'd miss in the click and drag version ( Read more... )

I was getting tired of ALL THE SCROLLING so I was very happy to see the link myself! And there was no way I would have found things in the air without it.

It was. *g* And none of it was too difficult (though the bread pudding did have a few steps).

Mmm, winter squash bread pudding! I've just been roasting them mostly. Unless I get butternut which I can handle. I admit I'm still terrified of acorn squash (I got a knife stuck in one once & the struggle to free said knife resulted in trip to ER and several stitches in my thumb, so yeah).
Lovely choices in movies. And Chicklet has good taste!

Mostly I roast them too but I wanted something different and wanted the squash to be the main star of dinner. With acorn squash I use a cleaver and bang on the top of it so my fingers are far away. Once I have the recipes written up I'll post them to the comm. I think I'll post in both places rather than direct people here.

I think she does too! She was sad Much Ado was over and wanted to watch it again tonight but we started White Christmas instead. I think another viewing of Much Ado will be good in the future though. Knowing the story makes it easier to follow the language.

That artwork is amazing!

You are picking extremely good romantic comedies, your taste is stellar. :-)

I love it when he gets ambitious and does something different.

Thanks. *g* I'm trying to start her off right with only the best. We did end up starting White Christmas tonight, and if we still don't have a table next week I think it'll be Court Jester next, which is comedy rather than romantic comedy but still fits our movie picking criteria and is also very good.

I really want to rec Love Actually because it is the very best romantic comedy EVER, but I fear it is not Chicklet appropriate, sadly :-(

Oh! Pretty pretty icon!

Heh. Definitely not Chicklet appropriate! I'm more looking for movies that end with a kiss. (I think the naked sex scene couple by themselves push it over the edge for Chicklet viewing.)

Pushing Daisies - I loved Chuck's wardrobe in that show.

My husband was up so late last night with that xkcd comic. I've been meaning to look at it myself, but worried about the time suck! LOL!

Definitely go for the zoomable version I linked to. You can easily take in the whole world and then go in for closeups as needed. It will still suck up some time but I think not as much!
