Hamlet in HD is Going to Kill Me

Jan 06, 2010 17:03

I have to say that the HD version of Hamlet is going to DESTROY me. I haven't actually watched it yet, but I clicked on a couple of points just to make sure it was all there and running well. One of the spots I picked was the red t-shirt, lie on the ground with your legs open, and then let it ride up scene. *dies* I also watched a bit of the ( Read more... )

OMG YES THIS

Hamlet in SD was fabulous, but Hamlet in HD is going to be the absolute death of me. I have a date with my parents and their HDTV this weekend to watch it (complete with a whole Radio Shack's worth of cable and adapters to hook my MacBook up to their TV). I'm working now on my Act III picspam and I can't. stop. capping. It's getting ridiculous. IT ALL JUST LOOKS SO DAMN GOOD!

*flails* I've been holding off looking at your epic picspams for Hamlet and I am SO looking forward to reading them, especially with huge HD pictures. (After I see Hamlet of course. *g*)

They are beautiful aren't they! How could I not be shallow with these images looking at me?

If this is what we get for being shallow, I don't ever ever want to be deep

And to think I saw that fierceness in the flesh. *gloat*

You are now free to punch me and my yucky smugness in the face.

Jesus tap-dancing Christ on a cracker! That is fucking hot.

Do you know if we ever have a chance of seeing a Region 1 DVD? (It would make my friend and me very, very, VERY happy.) Or is the only way to go the ol' torrent road?

The R1 DVD will be released after Hamlet airs on PBS, sometime this year.

You just made the day of at least 3 people. I tried looking at Wiki recently and it was hopeless, haha!

So wait. Hamlet will air on PBS. Will it be MASTERPIECE CONTEMPORARY? Will David introduce his own work? "Well, I'm fantastic in this work!"

I'll keep my ear to the ground.

It'll be on Great Performances. I've heard the date April 28 bandied about, but nothing official on that.

Oh, you shallow, shallow thing. Frankly I'm appalled at this borderline softcore porn; I scrolled past it as quickly as I possibly could and definitely DID NOT just let dinner burn because I was staring at the Time Tummy for five minutes straight. :D

Oh god I can't wait to see this. *weeps over busted laptop*

*hangs head in shame* I promise that I will not post any more shallow borderline porn while you're making dinner. I will save it for a time when you aren't cooking. After all, we wouldn't want your risque internet viewings to be found out by the trail of burnt dinners.

I'm terribly sorry about the laptop issue! If you can watch region 2 DVDs, you could order it right now. I could, but I'm holding off.
