WTF Tim Kring? I would think the opposite is true. Serialised shows are so much easier to keep up with when you can watch them via DVR or internet. I personally am finding that any more I watch almost nothing on the night it actually broadcasts. I'm just not always in the mood to get my Life on, or my Dexter on or whatever (frankly those are the only two shows I'm watching with any regularity this season--is it just me or is everything else kind of sucking?). And I know that I can just save the episodes to watch them when I'm more in a mood to appreciate them, I'm more inclined to keep up with the shows rather than just falling hopelessly out of the loop and never watching again.

Besides, with Dexter it's kind of a treat to save a couple episodes up and watch them back-to-back.

Yeah, he's the idiot. Serialized shows are much easier to watch if you don't have to worry about missing an episode. I don't watch anything when it airs either. Without a DVR I wouldn't follow anything these days, too many other distractions. Even with a DVR I find myself letting some shows pile up (House I'm looking at you).

Hmm, might try and catch The Devil's Whore then.

I'm still frustrated with Heroes. I kind of want to give it up, but then I'd be annoyed if it suddenley massively improves and I have to spend all that time catching up, especially now that Bryan Fuller is free to go back to the show (at the expense of Pushing Daisies, boo).

I think it's worth catching. Not must see tv, but it's very pretty and I'm going to keep going for the Simm factor. I will note that our main character has some very cheesy visions of devils, but it only happens a couple of times.

Jay is still into Heroes and I've been a bit happier with the last couple of episodes. Something is *finally* happening. And if Fuller's around I do think it will get better. It may be too late to save the show, but at least it will make more sense as I'm watching it.

I'm watching Heroes in line with the UK episodes which are a few weeks behind the US, so I may give it a few more weeks and see how it goes.

I think Mr Kring might've been in a car accident or eaten some strange food or something, which caused him to lose his sense. Some of us, shockingly, don't have DVRs because 1) we don't pay for the satellite and 2) we actually kind of like having something to look forward to ("Ooh! 30 Rock at 9:30" etc.). Sometimes we like cliffhangers--although I must admit that the week between The Stolen Earth and Journey's End was the HARDEST week, TV-wise, I've had in a LONG TIME. Anyway, another good way to follow a show is to plonk down money and buy it on DVD, which would give him a little money, but to be honest? His show went to shit in the sophomore season and took a lot of viewers away, so lah. He might need to look INWARD instead of OUTWARD for people to blame on his show's suckage.

Right, no DVR ≠ stupid! For me it's important, since with a kid I'd never watch anything without the DVR. Nothing is more annoying than someone blaming their show's suckage on the viewers. Your show sucks because the viewers are dumb? I don't think so. And in what universe is insulting your viewers a good idea? Maybe he wants the show to be canceled so he can start forgetting he was ever involved with it.

Oh yes, Simm is still sexy as hell even with scars, long hair and brooding nature. Looking forward to your screencaps and your more detailed review.

I sincerely hope Brian Fuller takes over as Heroes showrunner instead of that ass Tim Kring. Does he not know that DVR's are made for watching serialized dramas? I love watching Life, or House or BSG - 2 or 3 eps in a row. It's a nice way to spend an evening.

I will admit that he's not very pretty with the make-up, but he's certainly damn hot and that's fine with me. I've been organizing the screencaps and I'll be working on the text tomorrow. I barely capped anyone but Simm, so I think it's going to be a 'focused' review. Heh.

I don't know if I'd wish the current mess of Heroes on Fuller's shoulders. Poor guy. His show just got canceled and then he takes over Heroes. I just hope he will have some input that will improve things.
