Chloe made it home a little before one with two big containers of mac and cheese and ice cream, she was pretty tired so she was looking forward to a long lunch before going back into work

Mia glanced away from the TV when she heard Chloe call her name. She lifted the remote clicking the TV off, uncurling her body and standing up. It had been a long day and she'd been in a foul mood since last night. She had stayed late at the youth center yesterday and by the time she made her way back to the apartment Oliver had already gone out on patrol.
And this morning she left for school early avoiding breakfast still too angry to speak to either of the men currently in her life. She let out a small sigh and walked out of her room down the hall towards the kitchen. She spotted Chloe as she slid onto one of the seats. "Hey," she said softly.
"Hey," she greeted, smiling at Mia who still looked incredibly grumpy and setting a couple of forks on the table along with the take out boxes. Growing up, her dad always made her mac and cheese when she had had a bad day and it always helped a little.
"How are you feeling?" She asked as she took the seat in front of Mia's.
"Thanks," She said as she took one of the boxes and gave Chloe a small smile while shrugging. She glanced down popping the take out box open while speaking. "My head's throbbing slightly less than earlier, so that's good I guess." The truth was, though she had a pretty bad headache, normally she'd just ride it out, there were worse things in life then a pounding head.
But today she just couldn't deal with going to study hall and seeing Ian. She didn't want to fight with him, but she was still so angry that she knew that's exactly what would have happened if she went. "How's your day been so far?"
"Not bad, just the usual. Work." She told her arching her eyebrows as she opened the box. "I'd go with small talk for a while but I do have to get back to the paper soon, so do you wanna talk about what is really bothering you?"
