He had listed everything they had on the kitchen for her to see if anything sounded appetizing, he had listed all the menus, had offered to send Bart anywhere in the world to pick up food for her, and now he was trying to think of

"Yeah? What is it?" he asked, pausing in his tracks and turning to look at her with worried eyes. "Do you need something?"

"Yeah, actually," she told him, sitting back on the couch and shifting to the side, making room for him then patting the space next to her.

Frowning a little, he moved to sit down beside her on the sofa, sliding his arm around her immediately. "What is it?" he murmured.

Chloe turned to face him and took a deep breath, cupping his face in both her hands and watching him closely, "you're freaking out."

He drew in a breath and let it out slowly. "See about some kind of warning spell. I don't even know if she can do something like that. But if she can't, maybe Sam and Dean can. And some kind of spell for protection from...things that aren't human." He chewed the inside of his cheek, thinking.

"Yeah..." she drew in a breath, considering, "it might be worth looking into, you can call Zatanna and I'll call Sam and Dean, I owe them a thank you, anyway."

Oliver nodded a little, watching her intently and then dipping his head to kiss her softly on the mouth.

She was surprised by the kiss but didn't hesitate before returning it, this was better than him running around.

Chloe held her breath and smiled, wrapping her arms around him and pulling him close as she looked down to her stomach, "not trouble we can't handle anyway."

He leaned his forehead against hers, hand still on her stomach. "We'll be more careful," he murmured, his thumb stroking her skin lightly.

She kissed the corner of his mouth and even though she knew what he meant, she wanted to keep the mood light, "well, we don't have to worry about being careful for a while."

Oliver stilled for a moment, lifting his head to look at her intently, his eyes darkening just a little.

She let out her breath and laid back down on the bed, wrapping her arms around him and smacking his back, "not funny. No, I don't."

He chuckled again. "Sorry," he said, though he didn't look very sorry. He leaned in and pressed a kiss to her mouth. "I promise I'll make it up to you." He kissed her again, shifting above her. "Over and over again..."

"Hm," she murmured against his lips and nodded a little, brushing her nose against his, "I think I can live with that promise," she told him, smiling a little.

Oliver grinned against her mouth. "Oh good," he murmured, kissing her softly as his eyes drifted shut.
