You'll make it, things are hard all over, and I think it's because your parents are worried -- they MEAN well, and are nervous that you and yours won't be ok.

Doesn't excuse how they act but I know mine act in a similar way, too.

no, i don't think its worry..he went on and on.
it was more like "i'm the shit because i have money and you are shit because you dont have any"
he has never respected any family members unless they were loaded..he used to talk terrible about my Nana (mom's mom) because she was on food-stamps the last 3 years of her life.
He is just a mean man.

I'm so sorry. And I am very happy for you too -- you know how important having a strong family man, a Godly man is in your life. You see how important that is and I can see how your faith gives you strength ( ... )

I know a little about unpleasant parental reactions, and they stick with us a long, long time. No matter how old we are, we're still their children, and want to know that we have their love and support.

I'm sorry it was such an unpleasant scene. Best of luck to that other Noah in school! :-)

Oh... *ha ha* That's what I thought, too.

Totally harsh about the family tension. Family bad-ness totally destroys my world and will put me into a very deep funk.

"I hate being powerless."

Someday, you might have to make a stand, show your power, and let people deal with it. It's not okay for them to put you in such a situation (been there; it's very hard).
