Milepost 1969 - Rock Springs, Wyoming

Hi, Annie Proulx country. :) Yet again Wyoming is ridiculously beautiful. We ran into some snow drifting across the road this time though. Spring hasn't quite made it to Wyoming. More windmills, more snow fences... which I surprisingly thought were prettier without the snow against them ( Read more... )

Oh my goodness... You really are literally out where the deer and the antelope play! This sounds like such a neat roadtrip; I wish you weren't having to deal with sickness-recovery and moving and could just enjoy it like a vacation.

My maternal grandparents had an orchard when my mom was growing up and she worked on ranches through university, so she knows all sorts of thing about gardening and plants that I have absolutely no idea about. (She loves to tell the story about the first time my dad came to visit the orchard when they were dating... I guess it's customary to try the apples, take one bite and then throw them away, like wine-tasting or something, but my dad didn't know and was madly trying to gobble down everything she handed him so he wasn't being wasteful. *G* My mom always acts it out when she tells it too! Oh dear, my parents.)

I wish that too. Being sick hasn't been much fun. I only drove a bit here and there and I've just gone immediately to bed after dumping my head into LJ pretty much. :P

Awwwwwww. Yay for more parent knowledge and a cute early courting story. :D

Girl alone at the front desk trying to find something to amuse herself with. I thought to myself, aw, she gets stuck talking to all the weird old guys too...
