Milepost 1969 - Rock Springs, Wyoming

Mar 28, 2010 00:33

Hi, Annie Proulx country. :) Yet again Wyoming is ridiculously beautiful. We ran into some snow drifting across the road this time though. Spring hasn't quite made it to Wyoming. More windmills, more snow fences... which I surprisingly thought were prettier without the snow against them.

It's strange the weird things my parents know just because they grew up in a different era. I've been learning all kinds of things about cows and farming. Anything wacky that your parents are a font of knowledge about?

So tired. We'll probably try to drive the rest of the way to Reno tomorrow. UGH.

Saw some really cute deer things - my dad thinks they were antelope - but they were really tiny. They were all climbing up a ridge in a line like a little caravan. Also saw some...what we thought might be sand-hill cranes out in the fields in Nebraska. (Also ran into a ton of wind in Nebraska and Wyoming - that is not fun weather to drive in.)

Hope things are going well for y'all.

ETA: Nari, we ran into your Wyoming counterpart at our hotel tonight. :)

movin' on up, traveling
