It seems I have another announcement to make.

Learned Eirin will not be taking request chip requests at this time. There is a correlation between getting the chip removed, and a great illness that potentially kills the patient. She would have made this announcement herself, but she is currently busy. Any questions you may have I will try and ( Read more... )

W-well, it's very important to some people to get them out as quickly as possible...um, what would you like to talk about, if not those? If you don't mind my asking, that is!

I understand the want to get them out quickly, I am also one of those people. I just would like to remind those that are in a hurry, that they may die.

Anything really, more about this world, the sciences from the other worlds people here hail from.

I think that if they're at such a point, the added danger isn't going to deter them much unfortunately. I-it's not a very safe process to begin with, is it?

Ah, well, back at home we're able to send people into space and bring them back safely. I always though that was a really amazing advancement.

It wouldn't be an issue normally, sadly not much can explain the current situation. But, I do agree, sometimes taking that chance is better than sitting back and not taking it.

You can go up into the stars? That is truly amazing. What sort of world do you hail from?

Two people have died from illness due to chip removal. She was unable to save one. This is Learned Eirin herself has deduced. Based on the data she's correct. But, where she does not want anyone to die by her hand, I am willing to let people take such a gamble if they so wish it. It's their decision after all.

I won't argue with that choice, but... Two people...

It's a noble decision, and I respect her very much for her compassion. Perhaps she will find the answer she's looking for.

Oh dear, really? What a shame, I was looking to have mine taken out... I wonder if these infections affect Magic Folk as well...

They no doubt effect everyone who has the risk of dying.

If you realy do wish for it out, even with the chance of death I could arrange for it. Of course I would like to know more about yourself before agreeing to such a thing.

... I need to protect my Mistress, even if it costs me my life.

That goes for both of us, I'm afraid I haven't met many people in the city. My name is Raphael, I'm a humble butler.

If you are certain, and understand the risks.

My name is Laron. Though, before I agree, what will you be gaining? Other than the ability to protect you're mistress. Which, I commend you on your loyalty. If more people could serve in such a noble manner.

It's killing people now... What the hell?

Or, there is the chance of infection and dying from it. I wouldn't go so far to say it directly killed anyone. Just, there is the chance of contracting an illness that will kill you.

... Makes me wonder if the scientists did something. Never heard of anything like that before, and I've been here awhile.

It could just as easily be due to environmental upheaval. A lot has recently happened, and there is much of this place no one understands. The removal is a rather invasive surgery, it's not like we have the means to completely sterilize before operating.

Wretched things?

I am concerned about the number of infections occurring as well.

I do not much like these chips, they are annoying and frustrating.

There is little that can be done at the moment sadly.
