okay, well....

basically, Jae Joong is the son of Death, and he has minor control over who dies and who lives, etc etc. Changmin has a fatal disease, and Jae Joong is sent to kill Min, but he falls in love with Min at first sight.

Jae decides not to take Changmin's life, bounding him eternally to the realm of the dead. Jae Joong sticks around with Changmin, and falls even more in love with him then he had been. Then he finds out that Changmin is in love with Yunho.

Wanting Changmin to love only him, Jae Joong kills Changmin. Because Jae Joong saved Changmin when he shouldn't have been saved, thus tying him to the realm of the dead, Changmin is stuck with Jae forever, never getting peace.
