I'm glad that you're thrilled about the election day results. Really, its wonderful to see that some people actually give a shit about what is going on in politic (I really have to wonder sometimes). If you want to celebrate, please do so. Really, go have a blast ( Read more... )

Thank you. *claps*

While I can appreciate Obama is not another Bush, I distrust politicians as a general rule. I admit I am pretty apathetic right now, in no small part because 8 passed and proves California is a lot less "progressive" than we fucking claim to be. I don't know if Obama can undo the damage that's been done to the country and I hope he doesn't do more. He seems like a great speaker. I sense he wants to do well. But he's still a politician.

I'm not even 30 and I'm saying this shit. I feel like an old curmudgeon. But I've seen a lot of government screwup especially having dealt intensely with bureaucracy since 2002 when I became disabled. I don't trust government. Our government does shit we think only other countries do. I've *seen* it.

I feel a lot of MEH right now. I'm glad people are happy and celebrating. I wish I could do the same.

The most frightening words ever spoken, "Hi, we're the government and we're here to help." Coworker of mine liked to say that. Distrusting politicians is a good way to go, don't ever assume they have your best interests at heart without solid proof. And I think I'm a little younger than you saying this. Eh, better to know the truth earlier rather than later ( ... )

Or Jeb.

There are a lot of Bushes who could still eventually wind up in the White House.

You know what, I better stop, I'll give myself nightmares. >.
