Which honestly, last year bugged me but now I welcome. The fact that both Chloe and Clark are in relationships that the audience knows is bad for them and that are so close mirrors of each other has to be setting up for both Clark moreso than Chloe to realize the person they need is each other.

I mean it has to mean something that Jimmy outright heard Lex tell Pete that Chloe is still in love with Clark.

Also, just like Clark felt that with Lana knowing the secret their relationship would work, the Climmy almost plays out the same way with Jimmy knowing the truth about Chloe's meteor freak and giving them a chance to work.

The Climmy is going to end. The very words "rekindle" and "butane" while on the surface may suggest passion, really show why Climmy isn't going to work.

Either the fire is going to get too hot and hurt them or it's going to sizzle out on it's on. I prefer the latter.

But I do see an arc on Jimmy. He felt abandoned by Chloe in Cure and waited for her to save the relationship, which she didn't. So he flirts with Kara a bit, and she goes missing and Chimmy kiss and he immediately wants back with Chloe. Chloe brings up Kara - Kara comes back, he goes on a date, and immediately is like nope! Chloe. Only Chloe.

Except, Chloe's going to end up back with supporting Clark as usual. We know end of the say, it's Clark.

So chimmy doesn't bug. And Clana's being doomed to fail at the same time, it's actually pretty good in a 'no regrets' way for both. I just hope we see more and more of Pete!Type Jimmy cause he's much more fun.

I agree as well which is why I feel it's going to end with the latter of the fire just going out fast.

I do too. He's just more likeable being a guy with everyday human insecurity issues than a guys who eye fucks other woman while their girl is there.

I always love your reviews! It really does stink that we didn't get a promotional picture of the original cast with Pete back. And I totally agree with you on the Chloe/Jimmy becoming Clana 2.0.

Great review as always.

wearing white - like Lex's first vision of her, or even Lex's suit as President. As such, she's completely under Lex's control. Also interesting that this is similar to how Lana's wardrobe changed too (see Splinter.)

White really has come to seem like an ominous color on Smallville.

Regarding the parallels with Pete and Jimmy making whatever shape we want to call that around Chloe, do you think we are going to see them play Jimmy with a crush on Lois later? It would seem logical and cannon, so I bet if they do it they do it ugly. Not that they are ever together, but if they put out the Pete/Jimmy anvils it seems like they might want to mess with Lois later.

White is really quite creepy; I mean Clark wears it sometimes and Chloe too, and then it's pretty great, but it's very wolf-in-sheeps clothing around the Luthors.
