I would love to have a meet up somewhere. If I go to Japan again, I think I'd like to see Kyoto. It would be nice to see somewhere that wasn't bombed to the ground in the forties. The translation would be great! Although I hope I'll be able to understand a tiny bit myself by that point--I'm working with Rosetta Stone slowly but surely! (I understood, "Sandoichi? Iie." in line at the coffee shop a few weeks ago! I was so excited.)
We could also do Korea or Laos (Slow Lorises!!!) or somewhere else Asian too. Africa is far to expensive from here or I'd be all over that. I keep seeing sales to South Africa for amazingly low prices from the mainland for the first time in the, oh, ten years I've been watching for them...and I can't take advantage of them. I will be so envious of you when you get to go!
I will have 3 days to take in February for a trip. I need to figure out where I want to go at that time. My sis is planning a visit here and the Philippines in September that will be awesome too.
Duuuuuude! I want to go to Tokyo!! :) I'm glad you give so much detail--I was cracking up about the subways and your food experiences, too. It looks beatiful, too!
