I was shocked and dismayed when Sinclair was reassigned and Sheridan was suddenly thrust upon me. However, being kept in a constant state of awe throughout season 1 and the brief hiatus leading to my watching s2, I kept an open mind and welcomed this new character not as a replacement but a new addition ( Read more... )

Hey, it's me again.

Just one quick remark concerning Ivanova and Sheridan. She already knew him before he came onto the station which explains why she opens so quickly. Just in case you missed this, I know I missed a lot when I watched the show for the first time.

Those two are actually one of my favourite character combinations on the show. Ivanova has some of her most emotionally tense and her most funny scenes when talking to Sheridan, precisely because she's so open around him.

glad to see you here again!

I did catch onto the fact that they knew each other before B5, however it was only *after* I was already a tad irritated by the seemingly sudden change in Ivanova's demeanor.

I think I liked her best in season 1 with her being so reserved and with that wry sense of humor about her. in the later seasons, esp season 3, I perceived her humor to be a bit over the top at times.

But this probably has sth to do with the novelty of season 1, bc come to think of it, I also like Delenn best in season 1 - she's mysteriously dangerous & dignifyingly formal yet candidly frank at times...
