Romania's FLORICA LEONIDA turns 21 today. It's no secret that I think the Romanians are fantastic gymnastics and Floarea (as she sometimes goes by), is no exception. At the 2007 Cottbus World Cup she came 5th on Uneven Bars (see video), and 7th on the balance beam.

Christmas, and the Goals of 2008

3RD JANUARY- Olga Mostepanova (1968), a Soviet gymnast who was the 1983 member of the World Championships gold medal team and Balance beam champion. Due to the Eastern Bloc boycott of the 1984 Olympics, she competed at the Friendship Games where she became the first and only gymnast to earn the perfect 10.0 on all 4 events.
