[Jecht wakes up on Thursday to the first morning in what seems like far too long without hazmats wandering the streets and people panicking in their homes. After peering out the window to see Mayfield back to what passes for normal, he slumps back into bed, lying there and staring up at the ceiling as he reflects on the events of the past week. [Jecht is sick to death of hazmats and people dying. Garnet was killed by the hazmats even after he saved her the first time, making his noble sacrifice well and truly pointless. [Jecht has seen the writing on the wall. He tuned into the radio broadcast, heard the weeping voices, listened to Lucy Smith, and he's seen the hazmat suits wandering around town.
