me too as a fellow, can't read Chinese (it's other dialects) and also I don't even have name like both my parents (Chinese name) have. Opposite, I have what people say very common "Jawa" name like.
ah.. me neither. my parents dont give me chinese name cause they said "what for? its not like you can speak the language." and it is a logical reason. unless your parents are quite a conservative chinese folks who follows each and every tradition there is, i think they dont care anymore about whether its necessary to give the kids chinese name.
